[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

Michel and Sven’s trick is apparently a viral advertising campaign for a German variety show called GOP Varietéshow.  The campaign is called Stoppt Die Show

Tmerlin commented on that article with, “The problem is a lot of kids watching this video probably thought it was legit…”

I say, “No, Tmerlin.” I think it’s great that a lot of kids watched this video. They should think it’s a legitimate video. It teaches them about the dark side of magic, demonstrating in brutal honesty the great and terrible price magic requires. Children should watch this. Indeed, they should be forced to watch this, so that what happened to Michel does not happen to them. Kids, if you’re reading this, do not perform magic. It is far too dangerous. It’s more dangerous than imagination. And alcohol. But if you must use magic, just know that someday you will pay the price.

That price will probably be 4 easy payments of $19.95 plus shipping and handling. But hey, at least you’ll have paid in money instead of blood. And then you can amaze everyone. Then you’ll be a magician.

Moral of the story: The rolling rock gathers no moss.

Oh, “Ctrl+Shift+T” I love you almost as much as “Ctrl+Z”.

(Ctrl+Z is the undo command. I wish life had one of those.)
